What is a water-based cleaning agent? An explanation of the types of cleaning agents and the characteristics of water-based cleaning agents.

An explanation focusing on the percentage of water content in aqueous cleaning agents!

Cleaning agents can be broadly classified into "solvent-based," "semi-aqueous," and "aqueous." At Zestron, we define "aqueous cleaning agents" as those where water is the primary component (with a water content of 50% or more). Even if they are referred to as aqueous cleaning agents domestically, there are specifications where organic components are the primary component, and even in cases referred to as semi-aqueous, many of the components may consist of solvent ingredients. While definitions and expressions vary, when discussing aqueous cleaning agents, we would like you to focus on the percentage of water content in the cleaning agent and understand its characteristics. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links. Ion residue analysis: From invisible residues to defects?

How to check for the presence of invisible ion residues! Introducing cleaning know-how.

We are performing flux cleaning, and although no residues are visible after cleaning, reliability assessments show localized migration and corrosion of metal parts. The likely cause of this defect is the presence of invisible residues (ionic residues). If left unaddressed, various issues may arise, and in the worst case, it could lead to a fire. On this page, we will introduce how to check for the presence of invisible ionic residues. *For detailed information, please refer to the related links. [Improvement Case] Reduced costs and effort associated with equipment maintenance cleaning.

We will introduce a case where the need for paid cleaning through outsourcing has been eliminated, achieving a total cost reduction of 1/10!

We would like to introduce a case from a company in Niigata Prefecture that is working on reducing the discharge of water-soluble waste liquids. The company had been outsourcing maintenance cleaning of its equipment, which was costly and labor-intensive, so they were exploring methods to clean in-house. After introducing a special water-based cleaning agent, the need for outsourced paid cleaning was eliminated, allowing them to achieve a total cost reduction of 1/10, even when considering the purchase costs. [Challenges Before Implementation] - Regular cleaning was necessary due to the accumulation of sludge and other contaminants on the heat transfer medium, which led to a decrease in performance. - The contaminants were so stubborn that they could not be removed even with a high-pressure cleaner at 7.5 MPa, so they were relying on outsourced paid cleaning. - When outsourcing, the challenges included the effort to package the contaminants to prevent spillage, a lead time of about one month, and costs related to shipping and cleaning expenses. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

Water-based high-performance cleaning agent 'VB1000' comparison of cleaning performance in ultrasonic cleaning.

Synthetic chemical substances, surfactants, organic solvents, water-based high-performance cleaning agent 'VB1000' free of PFAS.

The water-based high-performance cleaning agent "VB1000" is a water-based cleaner that does not use synthetic chemicals, surfactants, organic solvents, or PFAS. It is compatible with ultrasonic cleaning and can be used for a wide range of applications. In tests, metal debris contamination adhered to a metallic substrate was subjected to ultrasonic cleaning for 10 minutes and measured with a microbalance. As a result, it achieved a removal rate of 99.98% (0.2μg/cm²), surpassing 1,1,1-trichloroethane (removal rate 99.88%, 1.2μg/cm²) and demonstrating excellent cleaning performance that exceeds that of fluorinated general-purpose organic solvents (removal rate 98.52%, 14.8μg/cm²). It can also be used for cleaning precision parts and semiconductor substrates, and due to zero regulation (not subject to the Industrial Safety and Health Act), risk assessment management is not required.
